This smoothie is every bit as tropical as it should be and it is such an energy boost…I am still flying high as I’m writing this now after I enjoyed it for breakfast today so I am speaking with experience! Kale smoothies have a much stronger taste than those with spinach so I like to add lots of flavour, not to drown the kale out but to stand up to its iron strength!
Kale is such a nutritious food and because most of us do not get nearly enough greens in our diet this smoothie ticks boxes all over your nutritional chart as it is the Queen of Greens! The Ingredients & The Love…
- 2 handfuls of kale (remove the tough stalks and use just the leafy part)
- 1 banana
- 2/3 cup of pineapple
- 1/2 cup cucumber
- 1 lime (peeled and quartered)
- 1 1/2 cups of coconut water
Blend all ingredients, if you wish you can add a little ice too but I don’t like mine that cold and neither does my tummy, so just be careful how chilled you make your smoothies. If you give your digestion the chills you put out your digestive fire and then bloating is never far away!
Add some shredded coconut and lime to garnish et voila.
