It is the last day of 2014, and to be completely honest with you I am sitting in my comfy chair in my bedroom, quietly relieved to be where I am, as thoughts like ‘its ok, we’ve made it’ pass through my mind. This year has felt like a huge challenge, in all areas of my life, with sweeping changes on all levels. They say that our greatest triumphs often come on the heels of our lowest low’s, and I can say this is true for me, this year at least. So whilst I do sit here in relief, I am also with a smile!
There is something beautiful about being pushed over your edge, it is often in this very same moment that your true self bursts on to the scene, unadulterated and uncensored, and expresses your deepest truth and hearts desires. I have learnt that if you want to unlock your dreams you must first unlock your heart. Speaking and living from our heart is the magic ingredient that turns darkness into light and fear into love, and this is when your eyes become open to life’s miracles as you enter into your own sacred flow.
2014 has been a great teacher for me, I have learnt so much and I am humbled by the experiences it has gifted me. I appreciate so much all the inspiration and wisdom from others that life has taught them and who are sharing their wisdom, we do stand on the shoulders of giants and we are naive if we think we ever achieve anything on our own!
I have always loved Rumi and his poetry but this piece I have a new found level of appreciation for and wanted to leave you with this thought on the last day of 2014 and the eve of 2015…
“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”
Looking forward to a BeUtiful 2015! 🙂
